PROJECT FARM HOUSE
PROJECT FARM HOUSE
This whole-home renovation transformed an old farmhouse into a cozy country home with modern touches. A full main floor renovation, including the kitchen, dining area, living room and front entry, was brought back to the bones. Removing a loadbearing wall allowed us to open up the whole main floor and create more space for an expansive kitchen and entertaining area. Leaning into the farm house aesthetic, a custom wood beam wrap was made to conceal the new steel beam. New flooring extended throughout to keep the new spaces fluid yet full of character - but not before doing a complete re-grading and leveling of the original wavy subfloor. Original wood trim work was meticulously removed and salvaged for re-use, while new custom trim work was made to replicate the original and create a cohesive look with the rest of the old charm. A second floor refresh, including 3 bedrooms and bathroom, was completed to bring some new life into the spaces while keeping with a budget-friendly update. New paint, lighting and custom wardrobe built-ins made this part of the home feel like a new space. Completed with some modern farm house styling, this space is ready for lots of home cooked meals and entertaining!
